Enjoy Eagan Gets Nostalgic
Hey, hey! Bri here, I’m the Marketing Coordinator at Enjoy Eagan and for this blog we thought it would be fun to take a little waltz down memory lane. Check out some of my earliest Eagan memories below!
If your neighborhood is anything like ours, more and more friendly faces are flooding the streets for daily walks. Thanks to my high-energy, 5-year old “puppy”, I’m right out there with them. However, sometimes she gets a little too excited if you know what I mean, so we tend to favor the mornings. There is something about walking in the early peaceful hours of the day that allows your mind to go to some pretty nostalgic places. The other day I was thinking about how far the city of Eagan has developed over the years. Does anyone remember what Eagan looked like pre- Minnesota Vikings? Central Park Commons? Twin Cities Premium Outlets? How about Cascade Bay Waterpark? What an exciting ride its been!
Some of my earliest memories of Eagan are made up of sports, outdoors, and activity. The fun events and amazing community aren’t far behind. My family would hike the trails at Lebanon Hills with our Jack Russell Terrier, Bear, or attend a sporting event in Eagan on the weekend. Sporting events have since been elevated from school sports to Verizon Vikings Training Camp. Have you been? This year may still be up in the air but keep an eye on our website for updates. It’s a really cool experience for the biggest football fan to the novice (like me). And with professional eSports team, Røkkr, joining the gang at Viking Lakes we may just have a new sporting event coming soon to the rotation!
Speaking of coming soon, at Enjoy Eagan we miss our visitors dearly and are eager to return to our regularly scheduled tourism programming but first and foremost want to encourage everyone to stay safe and healthy! We will be here waiting for you and until we meet again, we encourage you to share your story – with us, with your loved ones, with the world. 😉 We want to hear what your first or favorite Eagan memories are!
