Wishing you happy holidays and a joyous New Year, Enjoy Eagan fans! 2018 has been one for the books in Eagan as many firsts were celebrated, several special events took place and new and exciting businesses opened. Before we ring in 2019, let’s take a look back at the highlights of 2018 in Eagan!

Pick Your Package 

2018 was yet another record year for Eagan’s Pick Your Package promotion as we reached over 450 room nights from new and returning guests! Our amazing program offers FREE tickets to popular attractions in the Minneapolis – Saint Paul area just for staying in any of Eagan’s exceptional hotels. With the growing demand, it probably won’t come as a shock that Pick Your Package has also grown this last year with the addition of Rockin’ Jump and the Vikings Museum.

Minnesota Vikings in Eagan

Eagan is officially the new home of the Minnesota Vikings! The official headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center and TCO Stadium, opened in March of 2018 and is considered to be one of the best NFL headquarters in the United States. This world-class facility, located in what’s called Viking Lakes, is home to one of only four NFL team museums and hosted its first training camp in Eagan in 2018. Along with the Vikings Museum and training camp, visitors can shop till they drop at the Vikings Locker Room also located at Viking Lakes. That’s not all – these components are just one phase out of many for the state-of-the-art development.

Hotels 

New to the Eagan hotel community are Home2 Suites by Hilton and Residence Inn by Marriott. Both properties opened in late 2018 and offer an impressive array of amenities. With this new inventory, Eagan is now home to 18 hotels with three more slated to open in the next two years including Comfort Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites and the Minnesota Vikings’ new luxury hotel. Eagan’s lodging accommodations make it easy to choose the best suited hotel for your stay, from extended stay accommodations to family-friendly properties with pools.

Dining

Eagan has gained an abundance of fantastic dining options! Cielito Lindo, Zoup!, Rack Shack and Liberty Gyros and Kabobs popped up in Eagan’s restaurant scene in 2018. For mariachi bands and guacamole towers that are sure to satisfy the hangriest visitor, head over to Cielito Lindo for an experience that won’t disappoint. Or perhaps zoup – er, we mean soup is what you’re craving. Zoup! offers a menu full of fresh flavor and hundreds of recipes! Rack Shack is your new home for Memphis-style BBQ with eight delectable sauces ranging from Georgia Sticky to New Orleans Ghost. Middle Eastern cuisine is their specialty at Liberty Gyros and they do it well – serving gyros and kabobs that hit the spot! Eagan’s dining landscape also added Mint Tea, Chick Fil-A and Tim Horton’s in 2018.  More new dining destinations are coming soon to Eagan in 2019 including Dunkin, Hawaii Poke Bowls and Raising Cane’s!
